Some of our pre-school children had a fab time yesterday planting trees with children from Burnside Primary School. The session, one of many to enhance the transition from nursery to primary, was supported by Glasgow City Council and was a great success. The children were joined by Gary Linstead, Countryside Ranger from Glasgow City Council who showed them how to plant the young trees before allowing them all to get dirty and try it for themselves. The event was supported by Scottish Natural Heritage Volunteering Matters Action Earth Campaign, who kindly provided the trees for planting as well as some valuable tools for our Forest School activities, thank you SNH.
