I will be speaking this week at a breakfast briefing for Small Businesses, sharing with them why it’s important to me that we pay the Real Living Wage. It is a challenging time for the childcare sector, with, in the words of Nicola Sturgeon, ‘transformational change’ underway as we move towards 1140 hours subsidised childcare for all eligible children by August 2020. Despite this, and in many ways because of this, it is all the more important to reward our staff for the amazing job they do every day…..paying the Real Living Wage is just part of this. We believe this and our wider Fair Work Practices are important in recognising, retaining and motivating our staff. #RealLivingWage #oneteam
