Duty of Candour

All health and social care services in Scotland have a duty of candour. This is a legal requirement related to the Health (tobacco, nicotine etc and Care)(Scotland) Act 2016, which means that when things go wrong and mistakes happen, the people affected understand what has happened, receive an apology and that organisations learn how to improve for the future.   In the past year (to end of Feb 2022) there have been no events that have triggered our Duty of Candour Procedures at ACE Place.  We have attached a summary to this effect as well as our Duty of Candour Process and Guidance note here for your information.
