Duty of Candour

As a registered care service ACE Place has a duty to enact on our legal requirement related to the Health (tobacco, nicotine etc and Care)(Scotland) Act 2016.

This means when things go wrong, we must communicate appropriately with those affected, make a full apology and document how the Company has learned from the experience, including reflection on events and consideration of any changes to policy and/or procedure which should be required as a result.

For the year to 22nd January 2024, there were no such events and no necessity to trigger our Duty Of Candour Procedures at ACE Place.

Our annual statement, along with a copy of our Duty of Candour process and guidance, is noted here for your information
